BAR CAPTAIN: Job Requirements
Essential Responsibilities
BAR CAPTAIN
- Plan, organize and control the operations of the bar.
- Supervise the work of bar staff.
- Clean bar, work areas and tables.
- Clean glasses, utensils, and bar equipment.
- Arrange bottles and glasses to make attractive displays.
- Slice and pit fruit for garnishing drinks, and prepare the Mise en Place before daily operation.
- Prepare appetizers such as nuts, pickles, cheese, and cold meats.
- Take beverage orders from service crew or directly from patrons.
- Mix ingredients, such as liquor, soda, water, sugar, and bitters, to prepare cocktails and other drinks.
- Serve cocktails, liquors, wine, bottled, canned or draught beers and non-alcoholic drinks.
- Serve snacks or food items to customers seared at the bar.
- Collect money for drinks served and balance cash receipts.
- Stock bar with beer, wine, liquor, and related supplies such as ice, glassware, napkins, or straws.
- Order or requisite bar stock and supplies.
- Plan bar menus and create drink recipes.
- Answer guests’ questions on products offered in the menu.
- Limit problems and liability related to guests’ excessive drinking by taking steps such as persuading guests to stop drinking or arranging transportation for intoxicated patrons.
Our Requirements:
- SPM / O Level / SKM Level 1 / SKM Level 2 / SKM Level 3 or Equivalent
- Full time / Part time
- Prior working experience will be an added advantage
- Fresh graduate and SPM leavers are encourage to apply
- 6-day work per week
- Able to work night shift
- Being Punctual in the workplace
- Positive attitude and responsible character
