Full Job Description
1.1. Pediatrician will be responsible for the diagnosis, treatment of all pediatric cases
2. CORE FUNCTIONS / RESPONSIBILITIES
2.1. Treats children’s illnesses, acute and chronic health problems, growth, and development concerns.
2.2. Documents and evaluates patient’s medical histories.
2.3 Performs the professional duties of Pediatrician in accordance with the delineation of privileges as approved by the Credential Committee.
5.4 Refers patients when required to other specialty Physician for further treatment.
5.5 Immunize patients to protect them from preventable diseases.
5.6 Provides health counseling of patients as needed.
5.7 Manages the efficient running of the Pediatric clinic.
5.8 Serves as a Consultant Pediatrics providing consultative services to the other medical services.
5.9 Implements appropriate policies and procedures to achieve the Hospital’s goals and objectives in pursuit of the Standards of Care, Quality / Performance Improvement.
5.10 Participates and contributes to Quality activities of the service (e.g. audit and chart review).
5.11 Develops, and reviews clinical pathways / guidelines.
5.12 Participates in monitoring the effectiveness of Quality activities.
5.13 Performs other applicable tasks and duties assigned within the scope knowledge, skills and Abilities by Medical Director.
