Bring your skills and expertise to the NFP Sector! This well-established independent charity supporting and funding cancer research is seeking an experienced professional to join their team. Working on a variety of comms projects you will play a key role in contributing to a dynamic and creative Marketing & Communications team.
Job Responsibilities for Content Specialist:
- Develop compelling written content to support fundraising, marketing and communication objectives
- Write and edit content as required for social media, email newsletters, direct mail, press releases and other marketing material
- Oversee the execution and production of the Annual Report
- Lead SEO optimising existing content, creating content in line with recommendations,
- Manage freelance content contributors & collaborate with the Digital Marketing Specialist to develop a website governance strategy
- Provide PR and external communications support including preparing press releases
- Translate complicated science findings into creative written releases and reports
Content Specialist Job: Minimum Eligibility Criteria and Experience Requirements
Key Criteria
- Appropriate tertiary qualifications, degree in Journalism highly regarded
- Proven track record of working with science and research papers and writings highly regarded
- Superior communication skills
- Experience preparing content for printed collateral and digital
- Excellent writing and proof-reading skills
- Campaign management skills and experience
- Able to prioritise, manage deadlines and plan projects in a timely manner
- PR Agency industry experience highly regarded
