Content Writer : Job Requirements

Essential Responsibilities

We are looking for a Content Writer to join our marketing team in the APAC region. You will creating relevant & SEO optimised content to generate Organic Search Traffic and improve the company’s regional SEO score and CRs as a part of the Deep Localisation project.

This role is open on freelance or full time basis. Candidate can opt to be based in native country (work remotely) or get to relocate to Malaysia to work together with the team marketing team here. Relocation assistance such as visa will be provided.

What will you do:

• Write content that is grammatically and stylistically correct
• Produce as directed by editor on duty to help build Cx audience and inform/entertain our existing users;
• To ensure the content is addressed to and is relevant to the target audience
• Cooperate with the SEO and Editorial teams to select daily topics and keywords
• Do the necessary topic research to provide accurate information and be fluent in using appropriate professional terms
• Revise the content based on Editorial guidance and SEO metrics
• Produce clean copy that adheres to strict style guidelines;
• Attention to detail in copy that regularly utilises basic story structure – lede, body et cetera;
• Attention to detail in article furniture, including meta-data, caption, headline, related article links, YouTube links;
• Follow editorial guidelines on linking to third-party sites with correct links added to appropriate word string;
• Accept and learn from feedback on points 2-5 above;
• Provide consistent coverage of beats (subjects and coins);
• Remain up-to-date on the latest in the world of cryptocurrencies in particular and finance in general;
• Be available for questions and feedback throughout the working day.

Who are we looking for:

• Degree in Journalism, Literature or Linguistics or or equivalent post graduate qualification
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
• Experienced in writing on finance related topics (Investment, Banding, Financial Markets, Economics, Cryptocurrencies, Commodities etc.)
• Basic knowledge of SEO
• Understand essential Google Metrics
• Native Arabic language with excellent skills in writing & grammar.
• Fluent in English

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Part-time hours: 40 per week

Salary: RM4,000.00 – RM5,500.00 per hour
