Position

We are currently looking for a qualified person for Customer Service & Logistics Coordinator to join our team.

Responsibilities

  • Receives and processes customer orders via EDI
  • Monitor and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction and service levels
  • Act as a liaison between Customer Service and other departments to provide solutions to customer inquiries and problem solving
  • Hands-on involvement in all aspects of customer service
  • Works to develop and implement solutions
  • Responsible for processing customer orders to ensure they are received accurately and in a timely manner, confirmed, sending authorizations to brokers/customers/carriers as needed, creating and the sending pick-tickets to our storage facility, matching releases, matching shipping documents
  • Problem-solving skills that may be needed as a result of an issue with orders, deliveries, or billing discrepancies
  • Support with export and customs documents as needed
  • Responsible for reviewing your weekly production schedule to meet the needs of our customers
  • Responsible for ensuring that clients meet the correct lead times
  • Manage customer backorders in the most efficient way to avoid penalties
  • Work with Customer Service Manager to review inventory volume and trends and adjust production plan as needed
  • Support in daily transactions with suppliers, customs brokers, meat inspection facilities, Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) inspectors and the operations team to ensure a smooth operation
  • Responsible for creating an export summary to coordinate with the sales departments
  • Support in booking outbound freight and coordinating loading with warehouse. Tracks shipment and resolves possible logistics issues
  • Responsible for lot control and support in coordination all inter-site transfers, balancing and management of inventory levels including month-end reconciliation
  • Demonstrates the ability to achieve and set goals and effectively manage time and priorities
  • Comply with regulatory requirements and company operational procedures to ensure a high level of food safety and quality
  • Ensure the replacement of a team member at any time

Skills and Abilities

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role
  • Food industry experience, an asset
  • Good written & oral communication in English
  • French, an asset
  • Knowledge of Excel, Outlook, and Word

  • Energetic and demonstrates a high level of professionalism
  • Ability to work autonomously or within a team
