Position Purpose
The Demand Planner ensure that the company’s operations are timely, efficient, and cost-effective. Goals objectives are met and gaps are addressed. Monitor and report on important changes in sales forecasts, budgets, consumer trends, business strategies, historical sales, seasonality data and to optimize business’s ability to meet customer demand in the most efficient way possible.
Working Hours
48 hours/week, 6 days/week, work timing depends upon the volume of business and as per the law of the relevant country.
Primary Responsibilities
· Helps in effective communication with Internal as well as External Customers, with forward looking approach.
· Timely generation of alternative options in case of gaps or constraints.
· Ensuring there are no last-minute major surprises, better Inventory Control and Management.
· Cleaning past data i.e. distress sales / promotions etc. from sales history.
· Analyzing past historical trends, seasonality, growth patterns.
· Feeding in promotional plans if any to the demand plans.
· Include growth assumptions based on new listings / seasonality.
· Add company’s growth plans to meet overall reasonable objectives.
· Analyze demand plans received vs monthly and annual budget targets.
· Work on an overall requirement based on plans received.
· Split the purchase based on load plans / MOQ’s.
· Communicate Demand Supply Gaps / Constraints. Inform the stake holders on the challenges in meeting demands if any and suggest alternatives
· Generating S&OP report with a proper match and achievable sales number vs demands.
· Highlight the gaps and suggesting alternatives / options.
· Highlight achievable service levels vs past service levels.
· Project inventory holding vs targets.
· Prepare a summary and a flow of the meeting.
· Management review on issues and suggesting solutions.
· Arriving at a consensus on the plan and forecast.
· Approving the plan and purchases.
Demand Planner: Duties and Job Responsibilities
Strong IT skills. Must be able to use a range of office software, including email, spreadsheets and databases.
· High level of accuracy.
· An energetic, motivated individual with aspirations of obtaining international financial management experience.
· Demonstrate entrepreneurial initiatives.
· Strong commercial mindset.
· Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
· Comfortable in communicating up to Chairman level.
Language Skills
· English – proficiency in spoken and written English
· Additional languages – preferred

Ability to commute/relocate:
Dubai: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Minimum 2-3 years’ experience as Demand Planner
General food retail experience desirable.
Fluent in both oral & written English. Additional language skill set is a plus.
