Freelancers or Contract
Objectives of this Role
Building and setting up new development tools and infrastructure
Understanding the needs of stakeholders and conveying this to developers
Working on ways to automate and improve development and release processes
Testing and examining code written by others and analyzing results
Ensuring that systems are safe and secure against cybersecurity threats
Identifying technical problems and developing software updates and ‘fixes’
Working with software developers and software engineers to ensure that development follows established processes and works as intended
Planning out projects and being involved in project management decisions
Support into Incident management to meet our SLAs
DevOps Engineer: Job Requirements
Job Types: Part-time, Contract
Contract length: 6 months
Essential Responsibilities
We need you to have :
– Hands on experience with design and implementation of Continuous Delivery and/or DevOps solutions or architecturepatterns.
– At least 3 years’ experience with code repository management, code merge and quality checks, continuous integration, andautomated development and management using Jenkins, Circle CI, Git, Docker, Kubernetes, Sonar or comparable tools.
– At least 2 years’ experience with approaches and tooling for automated build, delivery, and release of software.
– Expertise with at least one scripting language (bash/ruby/python/perl)
– AWS experience, but we are fine with any Cloud stack provider such as Azure, GCP, Digital Ocean or even Open Stack.
– Hands-on experience managing Linux systems is required
– Hands-on experience with docker or another container technology and container orchestration tools like
Kubernetes andECS
– Hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g. Cloudformation, Ansible)
– Working knowledge on Databases and SQL
– Working knowledge on monitoring tools like grafana, NewRelic, Datadog.
– Good troubleshooting skills
Ability to commute/relocate:
Dubai: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
