Job Description

Ivory Oak Financial Inc is looking to grow the team through the addition of an Insurance Advisor. The successful candidate is a self-starter, sales driven, ambitious, and outgoing individual.

The Insurance Advisor will be tasked to assist in growing the Group Benefits, Health & Dental division. A steady stream of leads will be provided, and the successful candidate must be able build and develop a strong network of clients and prospective clients.

The candidate will also provide support to the team in other insurance areas as well as gather new business. Priority will be given to an Advisor who has an existing client base. The successful candidate will have their own sub-codes and an attractive commission package.

Responsibilities and Duties

– Interact with clients by phone and email, and proactively hold client reviews, as needed

– Develop a strong network of prospective clientele

– Work on the prospective clients and provide proposals and run sales calls

– Support business development efforts and grow client base

– Support team in administration and management of business

– Work with team to develop ongoing marketing plans and execution

Education and Experience:

– University degree or college diploma is preferred

– Life Insurance and A&S Insurance licenced

– Understanding of financial products such as mutual funds, RRSPs, RRIFs, TFSAs etc. is an asset

– IFIC or IIROC licenced Advisors is a definite asset to support other business lines

Skill Requirements:

– Professional mindset, detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills

– Excellent written and communication skills

– Ability to multi-task effectively and prioritize tasks accordingly

– Ability to work independently and within a team

– Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, etc)

– Savvy with Social Media (LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, etc)

– 2 – 3 years of proven sales in the Financial Services industry

– Valid drivers licence and access to a vehicle are a must

– Clean Criminal Record/Credit Check

This is a full-time contract position, with potential for a permanent role

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Salary: $45,000.00-$55,000.00 per year

• Monday to Friday
