Our Cafe is hiring a Part Time Nutritionist to join our staff. We’re looking for a self-motivated, highly energetic professional who understands the nutritional needs of a wide range of people, from clients who want to lose weight to those who are building muscle for athletic pursuits. The ideal candidate will have a background in sports, fitness, and nutrition as well as a service-oriented attitude. He or she will establish replicable dietary standards for our members and provide one-on-one consultations on an as-needed basis.
Nutritionist: Job Requirements
Job Types: Part-time, Temporary, Contract
Part-time hours: 48 per week
Salary: AED2,500.00 – AED3,000.00 per month
Essential Responsibilities
Nutritionist responsibilities
· Create meal plans for clients who want to lose weight, add muscle or achieve other nutrition-related goals
· Evaluate the dietary needs of a client by assessing their health and exercise levels, sleep and food habits, etc.
· Clarify information to clients and explain the effects of nutrients on the overall health condition
· Offer to counsel and suggest positive alterations in nutrition to address clients’ dietary restrictions
· Create full and personalized nutrition plans that promote healthy lifestyles
· Set clear objectives and provide support to clients to help them in their progress
· Conduct scientific research to expand field-related knowledge such as the impacts of nutrients, the benefits of diets on the body’s functions, etc.
· Write and publish articles to educate the public
· Make presentations on a variety of topics such as how nutrition affects performance in sports, schools, etc.
Nutritionist skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nutrition or Dietetics preferred
- 3+ years’ Experience as a professional nutritionist
- Must be a registered dietitian (RD)
- Advanced knowledge of the way nutrition and exercise complement one another during the pursuit of athletic goals
- Familiarity with Nutritionist Pro software
- In-depth knowledge of nutritional models
- Understanding of diabetic nutrition, a plus
- Excellent verbal and presentation skills
- Willingness to travel to partner companies when needed
- Reporting to the café three times a week for meeting the clients
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nutrition or Dietetics preferred
- 3+ years’ Experience as a professional nutritionist
- Must be a registered dietitian (RD)
- Understanding of diabetic nutrition, a plus
- Familiarity with Nutritionist Pro software
