Essential Responsibilities
Sunway International School (SIS) welcomes interested candidates to submit their resume for the above stated vacancy with the following job specifications:
The teacher must be a certified and experienced teacher, knowledgeable in developing course outline(s), preparing lesson plans, implementing instructional programs and formulating assessments that will result in students achieving academic success in accordance with the Malaysian Ministry of Education, the Ontario Ministry of Education and/or International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme’s policies and guidelines.
Specific duties required of a Teacher may include:
- Prepare and deliver classes, lessons and learning activities.
- Consultation with and supervision of students.
- Mark and assess student’s work, assignments, projects, tests, coursework and examinations.
- Develop subject/learning materials and assessments for the subjects and students in accordance with Ministry of Education.
- Perform/support extra-curricular activities, including counselling of students, marking of Placement/Readiness assessments and promotion/marketing of the school.
- Record student attendance for class, extra-curricular activities, invigilation of examinations, etc.
Requirements:
- Possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree/ Diploma in Music/ Music Education or its related field of studies.
- Previous experience working with children.
- Possess good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
