REMOTE /EDITORIAL – THE ZOE REPORT /PART-TIME
TZR is seeking a remote, part-time writer to cover fashion features. Day-to-day responsibilities include pitching and writing feature fashion stories ranging from brand profiles and interviews to trend deep dives and styling guides.
The candidate must be well-versed in the topics of runway fashion, legacy and emerging designers and brands, social media trends, and the style tastemakers leading the charge. Some stories will require the writer to find sources, conduct phone interviews, and find highly-rated products. A network of industry contacts and go-to experts (think influencers, stylists, thought leaders, and brand reps) is a plus.
Candidates must have availability to work 2-4 days per week during business hours, EST. The writer will work remotely and communicate with the deputy fashion editor throughout their shift.
- Responsibilities: Write two to three 800- to 1500-word stories per week, comprising a mix of pitches and assignments
- Stay up-to-date on the latest fashion trends and research diverse, influential thought leaders to produce authoritative content
- Manage ongoing assignments, including conducting interviews and follow-ups
Minimum Educational Qualifications, Eligibility Criteria : Fashion Features Writer
- Applicants should have at least 2 years experience covering fashion topics at an online publication
- Strong understanding and knowledge of SEO and social best practices
- Ability to turn in clean, well-sourced, accurate copy in a timely manner
- Comfort covering sensitive topics
- Familiarity with the TZR brand and aesthetic and a sense for what makes a TZR story
- Knowledge of AP style
